Health Care Professional Support

Health care professionals are under immense stress these days.

Stress has always been “part of the job”, but “managed care” has increased charting and expanding care considerations continue to increase. Meanwhile, autonomy, influence over the work, and intellectual stimulation continue to sink. It’s no surprise that rates of burnout and depression are rising- even among the best trained and experienced health care professionals.

Psychotherapy can help. Exploring competing demands, complicated emotions, and the unique obstacles you face with an objective, non-judgemental, and experienced clinician can expand your capacity to manage these stressors.

I understand the implications and stigma for high level professionals so I take measures that far exceed HIPAA. For example,

  1. if you come to Snowbridge you will work with me, not another clinician randomly assigned to you.

  2. I won’t use DSM-V-TR diagnoses unless requested by you, and I take client privacy to the extreme.

Having a confidential space to unpack what you are experiencing can help you remain healthy, effective and happy. It can improve your relationships and help you reconnect with the core parts of yourself that led you to this profession in the beginning.

I’ve been working with medical providers in healthcare settings for the past decade and current lead a primary care behavioral health program. These experiences help me understand the many stressors healthcare professionals face. Reach out and we can discuss options.
