Be seen. Be heard.

Conquer the things that are holding you back.

Not sure where to begin? I can help.

Therapy fosters healing and wisdom by building your insight into your internal world and integrating experiences and emotions from the past into your present sense of who you are. Whether you are looking to heal from the past, adjust to the new, or just improve your relationship with yourself and others, therapy can help.

I offer individual therapy to clients age 18 and older in downtown Anchorage, AK. I also offer supervision and case consultation for other mental health professionals, and support for health care professionals.

About Pete Tallman, LCSW

Peter Tallman, MSW, LCSW - Anchorage Therapist

Peter Tallman, MSW, LCSW, CDCI

I have worked in mental health for 20 years and have been a licensed therapist since 2012. I have worked in residential, hospital, and outpatient settings within academic, non-profit, and Alaska Native health systems. Since 2014 I have been responsible for directing a primary care behavioral health program in Southwest Alaska.

I have a master’s degree in clinical social work with a specialization in direct practice with individuals, children, and families from the University of Michigan. I am licensed as a clinical social worker by the Alaska Board of Social Workers (#1206) and am certified as a Chemical Dependency Counselor by the Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health Certification. I am also licensed as Board Approved Supervisor (#113012) by the Alaska Board of Professional Counselors.

My areas of training and experience include working with survivors of trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and people in recovery from alcohol and drugs. I have received post graduate training in Brainspotting (BSP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), and other therapeutic techniques. My theoretical orientation is client centered, humanistic, and eclectic. I focus less on the techniques I want to use and instead collaborate with clients to determine which techniques will be most beneficial to them.

I provide in-person individual psychotherapy in downtown Anchorage and online via a secure telemedicine platform.

Therapy is an investment in yourself

I collect payment on the day of service via your HSA (Health Savings Account), credit card, check, cash, etc. Snowbridge Wellness does not bill insurance companies directly and is considered ‘out of network’ with all insurance companies. If you are using health insurance I will provide a ‘superbill’ (invoice) for you to submit to your insurance company, their reimbursement would then go directly to you. Therapy is covered by most insurances and many clients do utilize their insurance plans for therapy.

The variability between insurance plans prevents me from being able to make guarantees about your specific coverage. If you have reimbursement questions I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly. For reference the billing codes I utilize for therapy are 90791 for our 1st intake session and 90834 for subsequent 50 minute psychotherapy sessions. With this information any insurance company should be able to tell you the amount they reimburse for “out of network” services.
